Democratic State Senator Liz Krueger has spent nearly a decade in Albany, as one of the most powerful voices for reform, tenant rights, and health care for seniors, proving time and time again that State Senators can be reform-minded and pass legislation that helps New Yorkers from every walk of life. When Bill co-chaired the Democratic State Senate Finance Committee in 2006 with Dennis Mehiel and then chaired the committee in 2008, he knew he could always count on Senator Krueger to impassion donors by speaking candidly about the needed reforms for Albany. Bill was joined by State Comptroller, Tom Dinapoli and others. These same distinguished guests helped pave the way for a Democratic Senate—the first since the years of FDR—in 2008.
